Convert ACOS into a CAC you can compare

How to run thisTraffic4 steps
CalculatorAmazon ACOS to CAC · Calculator lives in the articleOpen

ACOS is ad spend ÷ advertised sales. It is not contribution. Convert it to CAC per order, then paste into max CAC from settled contribution with FBA and referral in the waterfall. Raw ACOS vs Meta ROAS is theater.

Pair: ACOS to CAC on Traffic.

How to read it

Type ACOS %, item price, and units per order for this ASIN. Read ad $ per unit and per order. That CAC is cash out the door — still not landed. Thin cover still kills the plan: Amazon ads stop at zero.

What not to do

Do not call ACOS “healthy” without max CAC. Do not forget units per order. Do not reopen spend into empty because ACOS looked fine.

Related: Traffic, Stock, landed COGS.

Procedure

  1. Take ACOS and item price.
  2. Put units per order.
  3. Read CAC.
  4. Run landed COGS and max CAC before you scale.

Failure modes

  • Treating 25% ACOS as healthy contribution.
  • Forgetting units per order.
  • Comparing ACOS to Meta ROAS without converting both to CAC.

Worked example

None on this page yet. When one lands it will be a real case: what broke, the number, and what changed. Not a composite.

FAQ

Is a 25% ACOS healthy?
Not by itself. Convert to CAC, then compare to max CAC after FBA, referral, and refunds.
Can I compare ACOS to Meta ROAS?
No. Convert both to CAC (or contribution ROAS). Different denominators lie.
Why units per order?
Multi-unit orders multiply ad $ per unit into ad $ per order. Forgetting that understates cash out.
