Turn +1 approval point into settled cash

How to run thisMIDs4 steps
CalculatorApproval point dollar impact · Calculator lives in the articleOpen

One point of approval is extra settled cash only if the orders actually settle on an account that can hold them. This page turns attempts, AOV, and a lift into dollars. It is not first-try versus net, and it is not permission to add hops.

Pair: Approval point dollar impact on MIDs. Whether hops recovered orders or only burned auths is a different job: When retries pollute a merchant account. The three rates are a different job: Run first-try, net, and unique billing.

What to type

Attempts / month are authorization attempts on this merchant account. Gateway attempts, not unique orders if you already cascade.

Settled AOV is what actually settled. CRM paid is not AOV.

Approval lift (points) is the change you care about. One point is 1.0. We do not fill a lift. Type the lift you measured, or the lift you are about to buy.

Extra orders are attempts times lift divided by 100. Extra settled is those orders times AOV. Per point is attempts times 1% times AOV.

The dollars are not the whole job

The extra sales still need remaining cap. They still count in the chargeback ratio. A point you bought with hard-fail hops or a second merchant account is how you dump a spare.

If the readout is large and the account is already near its line, the point is a problem, not a win. If the readout is small, stop buying routing theatre for it.

Do not paste a sample book of attempts. Type this account.

Related: Payments (settled is what you can spend), Chargebacks (the ratio on the extra sales), Payment orchestration (where the lift actually comes from).

Procedure

  1. Take monthly attempts and settled AOV.
  2. Put the lift you actually saw, not a vendor slide.
  3. Read extra settled cash.
  4. Ask whether the MID can take it.

Failure modes

  • Using CRM paid as AOV.
  • Ignoring that the extra orders still need a healthy MID.
  • Buying cascade pollution to chase the point.

Worked example

None on this page yet. When one lands it will be a real case: what broke, the number, and what changed. Not a composite.

Glossary

Point
One percentage point of approval. Extra settled is attempts times the lift times settled AOV. Not a dashboard badge.

FAQ

Can I use CRM paid as AOV?
No. Type settled AOV. CRM paid is not cash that landed.
If the dollars look large, should I add retries to get the point?
No. Extra hops can stack chargebacks and burn auths. The point is not free if it pollutes the account.
Does this check whether the merchant account can take the extra sales?
No. You still have to look at cap and the chargeback line. This page is the dollars, not permission.
