CalculatorArgyle refund-fail share · Calculator lives in the articleOpen

Pull one Argyle settle refund cut. Count failed refunds. Divide by submitted refunds. The quotient is AG refund-fail %.

Pair: Refund-fail share on Payments. Seamless twin: SM refund-fail. Reject twin: settlement-reject.

Cut counts

Failed refunds — Argyle refund requests that errored, declined, or bounced on the settle refund cut.

Submitted refunds — Refund requests pushed through Argyle on that same settle refund cut.

AG refund-fail % = failed refunds ÷ submitted refunds × 100. When AG refund-fail % fattens, chase settle / token state on that Argyle seat before you invent a chip.

Hard stops

Do not invent AG refund-fail %. Do not paste a SeamlessChex ACH refund CSV into Argyle boxes. Do not treat settlement rejects as failed refunds. Do not merge MIDs when one Argyle seat owns the fail pile.

Related: Payments, SM refund-fail, settlement-reject, retry-success.

Procedure

  1. Type refund fails and refund attempts.
  2. Read AG refund-fail %.
  3. Chase settle / token state when AG refund-fail % is fat.

Failure modes

  • Inventing AG refund-fail %.
  • Loading SeamlessChex refund rows into Argyle boxes.
  • Folding settlement rejects into refund fails.

Worked example

None on this page yet. When one lands it will be a real case: what broke, the number, and what changed. Not a composite.
