Argyle soft codes are not Seamless ACH soft codes

CalculatorArgyle soft-decline share · Calculator lives in the articleOpen

Take the Argyle decline pile for one MID window. Soft share = soft count ÷ pile total × 100. That is AG soft-decline %. Enter soft count and pile total.

Pair: Soft-decline share on Payments. ACH sibling: Seamless soft. Vault sibling: Spreedly soft. Reject sibling: settlement reject.

Fields

Soft count — Argyle issuer codes tagged soft / retryable in that MID window.

Pile total — Soft plus hard Argyle declines in the same export.

AG soft-decline % = soft count ÷ pile total × 100. When AG soft-decline % runs high, widen retry seating and cut hard burns — leave blank chips alone.

Stops

Leave AG soft-decline % blank rather than invent. Keep settle-die rejects out of the soft count. Keep Seamless or Spreedly rows out of Argyle boxes. Keep one Argyle MID per run when that seat owns the mix.

Related: Payments, Seamless soft, Spreedly soft, settlement reject.

Procedure

  1. Type soft declines and all declines.
  2. Read AG soft-decline %.
  3. Seat retry / updater when AG soft-decline % is material.

Failure modes

  • Inventing AG soft-decline %.
  • Loading Seamless or Spreedly decline rows into Argyle inputs.
  • Folding settle-reject counts into soft.

Worked example

None on this page yet. When one lands it will be a real case: what broke, the number, and what changed. Not a composite.

FAQ

Is this Seamless soft-decline share?
Processor book vs Seamless ACH. [Soft-decline share](/manuals/seamless-soft-decline-share) stays on Seamless. Soft / all counts never leave Argyle here.
Is this Spreedly soft-decline share?
Separate vault stack. [Soft-decline share](/manuals/spreedly-soft-decline-share) stays on Spreedly. Argyle owns every count here.
What AG soft-decline % should I invent?
None. Source soft declines and all declines from the same Argyle decline file.
