Authorize.net settlement cutoff miss is not NMI cutoff miss
On one Authorize.net processor day, AN cutoff-miss % is the share of batches that missed the written settle gate. Late-gate batches count. On-time batches sit in the denominator.
Pair: Settlement-cutoff miss share on Payments. NMI book: settlement-cutoff miss. Solidgate book: settlement-cutoff miss.
What you type
Settlements past cutoff — Authorize.net batches that posted after the written daily gate.
Settlements — Every Authorize.net settle that posted that same processor day.
AN cutoff-miss % = late-gate ÷ all settles × 100. A fat AN cutoff-miss % usually means capture timing or batch hour sits too close to the processor clock — move the hour. Never invent an AN cutoff-miss chip.
What not to do
Do not invent AN cutoff-miss %. Do not load an NMI or Solidgate cutoff CSV into Authorize.net fields. Do not treat reject batches as late-gate settles. Do not mix processors when one MID owns the miss.

FAQ
- Is this NMI settlement-cutoff miss share?
- NMI processor book. [NMI settlement-cutoff miss](/manuals/nmi-settlement-cutoff-miss-share) uses NMI rows. This page stays inside Authorize.net batches.
- Is this Authorize.net settlement-hold share?
- Held funds vs late gate. [Settlement-hold share](/manuals/authorize-net-settlement-hold-share) is withheld settles ÷ settles. Here you only score batches that missed the written clock.
- What AN cutoff-miss % should I invent?
- None. Take late-gate settles and all settles from one Authorize.net processor day.
