Lead-to-sale lag is not click-to-sale lag
Sale day minus lead day make lag days. Type lead day, sale day, and leads.
Pair: Lead-to-sale lag on Traffic. Click clock: click-to-sale lag. Quality: lead quality cut.
What you type
Lead day — day index when the lead posted in the CAKE window.
Sale day — day index when the sale posted for those leads.
Leads — leads in that same lag window (so the lag is not a lonely pair of dates).
Lag days = sale day − lead day. Fix nurture / pixel / CRM handoff when lag days are fat — do not invent a lag chip.
What not to do
Do not invent lag days. Do not mix click-day clocks into lead day. Do not treat lead-cap leftovers as lag. Do not average every offer when one owns the hole.
