Engagement is not a click
Engagements minus clicks make drop %. Drop % = (engagements − clicks) ÷ engagements × 100. Type both.
Pair: Engagement-to-click drop on Traffic. Article hop: article-to-offer drop. Widget: widget-to-CRM drop.
What you type
Engagements — content engagements counted in the Outbrain window.
Clicks — outbound clicks from those engagements in the same window.
Drop % = (engagements − clicks) ÷ engagements × 100. Fix the CTA / creative when drop % is fat — do not invent a drop chip.
What not to do
Do not invent drop %. Do not mix offer landings into clicks. Do not treat viewable impressions as engagements. Do not average every campaign when one owns the hole.
