Every fight burns a portal fee and packet labor. Expected recovery is recover % × disputed AOV. If cost per case beats that, you are paying to lose. Type cases, fee $/case, labor $/case, recover %, and AOV.

What you type

Cases — bank representment cases you will fight in the window.

Fee $/case — portal / vendor fee per fight (your invoice, not a blog).

Labor $/case — minutes × loaded cost to build the packet.

Recover % — your recover share on this reason family (typed from your closed book, not a slide).

AOV $ — average disputed amount on that set.

EV/case = (recover % × AOV) − (fee + labor). Total EV = cases × EV/case. Refund or walk when total EV is negative — do not invent a win chip.

What not to do

Do not paste a vendor win rate. Do not ignore labor because the fee looks small. Do not fight without the packet floor. Do not mix alert auto-refund dollars into representment recover %.
