Split ship needs every tracking number

Split ship means the order leaves in more than one parcel. A shopper can get box A and still open not-received on box B. One delivered scan does not clear the whole order. CS macros that paste a single tracking number into a multi-box ticket are how you lose the fee.

The fork

Every box delivered. Collect each scan. Fight NR only with the matching tracking lines.

Some boxes delivered, some not. Refund or reship the missing lines. Do not paste the delivered scan as proof for the whole order.

All boxes still in warehouse / never scanned. Refund. Do not invent a fight.

Auth / capture split. How money captures across ships sits on partial / multi-capture — different job from CS tracking.

What not to do

Do not invent a universal “always N boxes” chip. Do not fight the whole order with one parcel’s scan. Do not skip listing every tracking number in OI / CS. Do not treat Amazon multi-parcel A-to-z rules as DTC policy. Do not confuse auth partial capture with carrier split ship.

Procedure

  1. List every tracking number on the order.
  2. Run WISMO per parcel — fight only delivered lines.
  3. Refund or reship missing boxes.
  4. Open partial-multi-capture only for auth/capture doors.

Failure modes

  • Fighting the whole order with one parcel’s scan.
  • Skipping missing-box refund / reship.
  • Inventing a universal box-count chip.
  • Confusing auth partial capture with carrier split ship.
