Release lag multiplies reserve dollars
Reserve $ past the release lag still sticks. Cash stuck = reserve $ × lag days. Type both.
Pair: Reserve release lag on Payments. Forecast: reserve release. Settle day: settlement batch lag.
What you type
Reserve $ — dollars still held in reserve for the cohort / MID.
Release lag days — days past the written release date (or days until release — stay consistent).
Cash stuck = reserve $ × lag days. Chase the release when cash stuck is fat — do not invent a stuck chip.
What not to do
Do not invent cash stuck. Do not mix settlement batch lag into reserve lag without saying so. Do not treat rolling % as lag days. Do not ignore still-held dollars when the calendar looks clear.
