CB reserve holds settlement cash
A marketplace chargeback reserve keeps a percent of settlement volume for hold days. Cash gap = volume × reserve %. Type reserve %, hold days, and volume $.
Pair: CB reserve lag on Payments. Hold types: holdback vs reserve. Net payout: VAT vs net.
What you type
Reserve % — written chargeback reserve percent on the marketplace schedule.
Hold days — days that reserve stays locked before release (schedule / statement).
Volume $ — settlement volume $ the reserve applies to in the window.
Cash gap = volume × (reserve % ÷ 100). Hold days name how long that gap stays. Forecast cash on the release date — do not invent a reserve chip.
What not to do
Do not invent a reserve percent. Do not mix VAT withhold into the CB reserve field. Do not treat reserved cash as available working capital. Do not ignore hold days when the percent looks small.
