Eagle Labs in-process check miss is not retain-sample miss
On one Eagle Labs in-process check log, count IPC checks the suite never ran. Divide by IPC checks the written program required. That ratio is EL IPC-miss % — retain sample logs stay off this page.
Pair: In-process check miss share on Stock. Retain twin: EL retain-miss. Clearance twin: EL clearance-fail.
In-process check fields
IPC misses — Eagle Labs in-process checks required by the program but never run / logged.
IPC required — Eagle Labs in-process checks the written program required on that same log.
EL IPC-miss % = IPC misses ÷ IPC required × 100. Fat EL IPC-miss % usually means in-process check discipline lag on that suite — chase that station; never invent an EL IPC-miss chip.
What not to do
Skip inventing EL IPC-miss %. Skip dumping NutraScience or Vitaquest IPC files into Eagle boxes. Skip folding retain misses or clearance fails into IPC miss counts. Skip blending suites when one line owns the hole.
Related: Stock, EL retain-miss, EL clearance-fail, EL deviation-close.
Procedure
- Type IPC misses and IPC required.
- Read EL IPC-miss %.
- Chase in-process check discipline when EL IPC-miss % is material.
Failure modes
- Inventing EL IPC-miss %.
- Dumping a NutraScience or Vitaquest IPC file into Eagle fields.
- Folding retain misses or clearance fails into IPC miss counts.
Worked example
None on this page yet. When one lands it will be a real case: what broke, the number, and what changed. Not a composite.
