Forter hold-desk load is not Sift review-queue depth
Divide open holds by desk capacity in one Forter cut. That ratio is hold-load. Over-capacity = max(0, open − capacity).
Pair: Review queue depth on Chargebacks. Sift twin: queue depth. Abandon twin: review-queue abandon.
What you type
Open reviews — Orders sitting in Forter manual review / hold now.
Capacity — Reviews your desk can clear in that same Forter cut.
Hold-load = open ÷ capacity. Over-capacity = open − capacity when open is larger. Staff or soften holds when load is above 1×. Never invent a hold-load chip.
What not to do
Skip inventing hold-load. Skip dumping a Sift queue export into Forter fields. Skip folding abandon counts into open holds. Skip blending brands when one MID owns the pile.
