Duplicate postbacks inside the dedupe window

How to run thisTraffic3 steps
CalculatorPostback dedupe window · Calculator lives in the articleOpen

One click should credit once. Retries, pixel doubles, and CRM re-fires stack posts inside the network dedupe window. You pay CPA on the extras. Type posts for one click inside the window, window minutes, and CPA $.

Pair: Postback dedupe window on Traffic. Missing IDs: click-ID coverage. Cap vs CRM: affiliate cap vs CRM.

What you type

Posts in window — how many postbacks hit for the same click inside the written window (pull the log, not a hope count).

Window minutes — the tracker / network dedupe window for that offer.

CPA $ — what you pay per credited post.

Extra posts = max(0, posts − 1). Overpay = extra × CPA. Fix the fire path — do not invent a “normal” double-post rate.

What not to do

Do not invent dedupe minutes. Do not count the first credit as overpay. Do not mix missing click IDs into this extra-post count. Do not ignore CRM re-fires that hit the same click ID twice.

Related: Traffic, click-ID coverage, affiliate cap vs CRM, affiliate CB clawback.

Procedure

  1. Type posts for one click inside the window.
  2. Type written window minutes and CPA $.
  3. Fix the fire path when overpay is above zero.

Failure modes

  • Inventing dedupe minutes.
  • Counting the first credit as overpay.
  • Mixing missing click IDs into the extra-post count.

Worked example

None on this page yet. When one lands it will be a real case: what broke, the number, and what changed. Not a composite.
