Decide whether a return is worth it
Keep-the-goods means you refund (if policy says) and do not take the unit back — you eat landed COGS and skip return freight. Take the return adds ship + restock and recovers only honest resale. Paying a label on a cheap unit is how RMA burns cash.
Pair: Return ship vs keep-the-goods on Refunds.
How to read it
Type ticket, landed COGS, return ship, restock, and honest resale. Pick the cheaper inventory move. Landed COGS belongs on landed COGS. Threshold refunds are a different job on refund to save a MID.
What not to do
Do not mix CS policy with the inventory compare. Do not invent full-price resale. Do not pay return freight on a unit that is not worth the label.

FAQ
- If keep-the-goods wins, do I still refund?
- Yes if CS policy says refund. This page is the inventory move, not the refund yes/no.
- Can I assume resale is full price?
- No. Type an honest resale. Opened boxes and delayed restock are not sticker price.
- Is this the same as refund-to-save-MID?
- No. That tool protects a chargeback line. This one is warehouse math on one ticket.
