SeamlessChex settle-window miss is not batch-cutoff miss
On one SeamlessChex ACH settle cut, SC cutoff-miss % is the share of ACH settles that missed the written daily settle gate. Late-gate settles count. On-time ACH settles sit in the denominator.
Pair: Settlement-cutoff miss share on Payments. Submit twin: batch cutoff miss. Vault twin: Spreedly settlement-cutoff miss.
What you type
Settlements past cutoff — SeamlessChex ACH settles that posted after the written daily settle gate.
Settlements — Every SeamlessChex settle that posted that same ACH settle cut.
SC cutoff-miss % = late-gate ÷ all settles × 100. A fat SC cutoff-miss % usually means capture timing sits too close to the ACH settle clock — move the hour. Never invent an SC cutoff-miss chip.
What not to do
Do not invent SC cutoff-miss %. Do not load a Spreedly vault or SeamlessChex batch-cutoff CSV into these fields. Do not treat parked or rejected batches as late-gate settles. Do not mix MIDs when one ACH seat owns the miss.
Related: Payments, batch cutoff miss, Spreedly settlement-cutoff miss, settlement-hold share.
Procedure
- Type settlements past cutoff and settlements.
- Read SC cutoff-miss %.
- Move capture timing when SC cutoff-miss % is material.
Failure modes
- Inventing SC cutoff-miss %.
- Dumping a Spreedly cutoff-miss or SeamlessChex batch-cutoff file into these fields.
- Folding parked or rejected batches into past-cutoff counts.
Worked example
None on this page yet. When one lands it will be a real case: what broke, the number, and what changed. Not a composite.
