What you type
OI timed out — Verifi OI inquiries that hit the response clock with no reply in the window.
OI inquiries — OI inquiries in that same Verifi window.
Timeout % = OI timed out ÷ OI inquiries × 100. Staff the OI queue when timeout % is fat — do not invent a timeout chip.
What not to do
Do not invent timeout %. Do not fold unanswered-but-still-open into timeout counts. Do not treat unmatched OI as timeout. Do not average every MID when one owns the hole.
