Vitaquest batch yield loss is not Eagle Labs manufacturing yield

How to run thisStock / inventory3 steps
CalculatorVitaquest yield loss rate · Calculator lives in the articleOpen

Reconcile planned vs released good on one Vitaquest co-man batch ticket. That gap is yield loss %.

Pair: Yield loss rate on Stock. Eagle twin: manufacturing yield. Scrap twin: packaging scrap.

What you type

Planned — units the Vitaquest batch ticket called for.

Good — sellable / released good units from that same Vitaquest batch.

Lost = planned − good. Yield loss % = lost ÷ planned × 100. Raise yield or cut cover when loss % is fat — do not invent a loss chip.

What not to do

Skip inventing yield loss %. Skip dumping an Eagle Labs yield file into Vitaquest fields. Skip folding packaging scrap into batch yield without splitting. Skip treating QA holds as released good. Skip averaging every SKU when one batch owns the hole.

Related: Stock, manufacturing yield, packaging scrap, batch release lag.

Procedure

  1. Type planned units and released good units.
  2. Read yield loss %.
  3. Raise yield or cut cover when loss % is material.

Failure modes

  • Inventing yield loss %.
  • Dumping an Eagle Labs yield file into Vitaquest fields.
  • Folding packaging scrap into batch yield without splitting.

Worked example

None on this page yet. When one lands it will be a real case: what broke, the number, and what changed. Not a composite.

FAQ

Is this Eagle Labs yield loss rate?
Different co-man book. [Yield loss rate](/manuals/eagle-labs-yield-loss-rate) reads Eagle manufacturing runs. Here you only reconcile Vitaquest planned vs released good on one batch ticket.
Is this Vitaquest packaging scrap rate?
Sibling floor waste. [Packaging scrap rate](/manuals/vitaquest-packaging-scrap-rate) is scrap ÷ batch on packaging. This page is (planned − good) ÷ planned on the co-man batch.
What yield loss % should I invent?
None. Pull planned units and released good units from the same Vitaquest batch ticket.
