Appeal an A-to-z decision on Amazon’s clock
An A-to-z appeal is Amazon’s second look after a claim decision. The clock lives in Seller Central / the claim notice. It is not a Visa representment window. It is not the same job as who answers FBA vs FBM. Missing Amazon’s appeal clock loses Amazon’s door even when the bank never files.
Pair: A-to-z appeal window — claim map on Refunds.
What to type from the notice
Appeal deadline on this claim. Calendar date from Seller Central or the email. We do not fill a typical day count.
What Amazon asked for — tracking, messages, listing proof, refund already issued. Send that file, not a Visa packet.
Whether a bank case also exists. If yes, the chargeback clock is separate. Refund-then-CB covers double credits.
What not to do
Do not paste a CE3.0 pack into Seller Central and call it an appeal. Do not wait for a Visa reason code on an Amazon-only claim. Do not invent “30 days” when the notice shows a different date. Do not send a second refund because you appealed.

Procedure
- Read the appeal deadline on this claim’s notice.
- Send what Amazon asked for — not a CE3.0 pack.
- If a bank case exists, work that door separately.
- Do not send a second credit.
Failure modes
- Inventing a 30-day appeal window.
- Pasting a Visa packet into Seller Central.
- Assuming appeal stops a bank chargeback.
- Refunding again while the appeal is open.
Worked example
None on this page yet. When one lands it will be a real case: what broke, the number, and what changed. Not a composite.

FAQ
- Is the A-to-z appeal the same as fighting a chargeback?
- No. Appeal is Amazon’s second look at Amazon’s claim. A bank case is a different door with a different clock.
- How many days do I have to appeal?
- Read the deadline on this claim’s notice or Seller Central. We do not invent a day count.
- Can I appeal after the buyer also filed at the bank?
- Work each door. Amazon’s appeal does not stop a chargeback. Do not credit twice.
