Eagle Labs yield variance is not yield loss

How to run thisStock / inventory3 steps
CalculatorEagle Labs yield variance · Calculator lives in the articleOpen

Open one Eagle Labs batch ticket. Take actual yield %. Subtract the written standard yield %. The absolute gap in percentage points is EL yield-variance pp.

Pair: Yield variance on Stock. Loss twin: yield loss. Vitaquest twin: Vitaquest yield loss.

Ticket math

Actual yield % — Good released units ÷ planned units × 100 on that Eagle Labs batch.

Standard yield % — Written target yield % on the same Eagle Labs batch ticket / SOP.

EL yield-variance pp = |actual yield % − standard yield %|. When EL yield-variance pp climbs, pull the process owner on that SKU before you rewrite cover — leave blank chips alone.

Guardrails

Do not invent EL yield-variance pp. Do not fold packaging scrap into the actual yield % without splitting. Do not paste a Vitaquest loss export into Eagle variance fields. Do not blend batches when one Eagle Labs SKU owns the hole.

Related: Stock, yield loss, Vitaquest yield loss, batch release lag.

Procedure

  1. Type actual yield % and standard yield %.
  2. Read EL yield-variance pp.
  3. Pull the process owner when EL yield-variance pp is material.

Failure modes

  • Inventing EL yield-variance pp.
  • Folding packaging scrap into actual yield % without splitting.
  • Folding Vitaquest loss exports into Eagle variance boxes.

Worked example

None on this page yet. When one lands it will be a real case: what broke, the number, and what changed. Not a composite.

FAQ

Is this Eagle Labs yield loss rate?
Gap from planned vs gap from standard. [Yield loss rate](/manuals/eagle-labs-yield-loss-rate) is (planned − good) ÷ planned. Here you score |actual yield % − standard yield %|.
Is this Vitaquest yield loss rate?
Different co-man book. [Yield loss rate](/manuals/vitaquest-yield-loss-rate) stays on Vitaquest loss %. This page is Eagle Labs variance from the written standard.
What EL yield-variance pp should I invent?
None. Source actual yield % and standard yield % from the same Eagle Labs batch ticket.
