Fullstack cover-short is not ShipBob backorder
Divide cover-short orders by orders in one Fullstack fulfill cut. That ratio is FS cover-short %.
Pair: Backorder rate on Stock. ShipBob twin: backorder. Ship twin: on-time miss.
What you type
Backorders — Fullstack orders marked backordered / short-ship hold when sellable cover was gone in the cut.
Orders — Outbound orders attempted in that same Fullstack fulfill cut.
FS cover-short % = backorders ÷ orders × 100. Fat FS cover-short % usually means inbound / cover on that SKU — chase that path; never invent an FS cover-short chip.
What not to do
Skip inventing FS cover-short %. Skip dumping a ShipBob order-level or ShipMonk line-short file into Fullstack fields. Skip folding on-time ship miss counts into backorders. Skip averaging every SKU when one seat owns the short.

FAQ

- Sibling Fullstack door on ship clock, not cover shorts. [On-time ship miss](/manuals/fullstack-on-time-ship-miss) is late ships ÷ orders. This page is backorders ÷ orders.
- What FS cover-short % should I invent?
- None. Pull backorders and orders from the same Fullstack fulfill cut.
