ShipMonk line-short is not ShipBob backorder
Ratio backordered lines to order lines on one ShipMonk fulfill cut. That ratio is line-short %.
Pair: Backorder rate on Stock. ShipBob twin: backorder. Lag twin: pick-to-ship.
What you type
Backordered lines — ShipMonk order lines marked backordered / short in the fulfill cut.
Order lines — Order lines attempted in that same ShipMonk fulfill cut.
Line-short % = backordered lines ÷ order lines × 100. Fat line-short % usually means inbound / cover on that SKU — chase that path; never invent a line-short chip.
What not to do
Skip inventing line-short %. Skip dumping a ShipBob order-level backorder file into ShipMonk line fields. Skip folding pick-to-ship lag into short counts. Skip averaging every SKU when one line seat owns the short.
Related: Stock, backorder, pick-to-ship, returns-restock lag.
