Identity fail is not heavy-metal fail
Identity fails ÷ batches make fail %. Type both.
Pair: Identity-fail rate on Stock. Metals: heavy-metal fail rate. CU: content-uniformity fail rate.
What you type
Identity fails — Batches that failed the NutraScience botanical / API identity method (FTIR / TLC / marker) in the window.
Batches — Batches tested on that same identity export.
Fail % = identity fails ÷ batches × 100. Re-check supplier lots when fail % is fat — do not invent an identity chip.
What not to do
Do not invent fail %. Do not fold heavy-metal fails into identity counts. Do not treat CU dose fails as identity. Do not average every SKU when one lot owns the hole.
Related: Stock, heavy-metal fail rate, blend-uniformity fail rate, content-uniformity fail rate.
Procedure
- Type identity fails and batches from the ID export.
- Read fail %.
- Re-check supplier lots when fail % is material.
Failure modes
- Inventing fail %.
- Folding heavy-metal fails into identity counts.
- Treating CU dose fails as identity.
Worked example
None on this page yet. When one lands it will be a real case: what broke, the number, and what changed. Not a composite.
