Rate-shop quote is not the carrier invoice
Rate-shop quotes look cheap. Carrier invoices add DIM, residential, and other accessorials. Variance % = (billed − quoted) ÷ quoted. Type quoted $ and billed $.
Pair: Quoted vs billed on Stock. DIM rules: 3PL DIM vs carrier. Accessorial: residential surcharge.
What you type
Quoted $ — label / rate-shop quote total for the parcel set.
Billed $ — carrier invoice total for the same labels (after DIM and surcharges).
Variance $ = billed − quoted. Variance % = variance $ ÷ quoted. Fix packaging or the shop rules — do not invent a surcharge chip.
What not to do
Do not invent a surcharge percent. Do not mix different label sets into one variance. Do not treat quote as landed freight in CAC. Do not ignore residential and DIM lines on the invoice.
