Vitaquest assay fail is not Eagle Labs assay fail

How to run thisStock / inventory3 steps
CalculatorVitaquest assay-fail rate · Calculator lives in the articleOpen

Tally assay misses against lots assay-tested in one Vitaquest QC cut. That tally is fail %.

Pair: Assay-fail rate on Stock. Other CMO: Eagle assay-fail. Moisture sibling: moisture-fail.

What you type

Assay fails — Lots that missed Vitaquest active / marker assay limits in the cut.

Batches — Lots that ran assay testing in that same Vitaquest cut.

Fail % = assay misses ÷ lots assay-tested × 100. A fat fail % usually means supplier lot drift — re-check those lots; never invent a fail chip.

What not to do

Skip inventing fail %. Skip dumping Eagle or NutraScience assay logs into Vitaquest fields. Skip folding moisture misses into assay tallies. Skip averaging every SKU when one lot owns the miss.

Related: Stock, Eagle assay-fail, NutraScience assay-fail, moisture-fail.

Procedure

  1. Type assay fails and batches from the assay log.
  2. Read fail %.
  3. Re-check supplier lots when fail % is material.

Failure modes

  • Inventing fail %.
  • Dumping Eagle or NutraScience CSV into Vitaquest fields.
  • Treating moisture fails as assay.

Worked example

None on this page yet. When one lands it will be a real case: what broke, the number, and what changed. Not a composite.
