Eagle Labs moisture fail is not Vitaquest moisture fail
In one Eagle Labs QC window, put moisture rejects over lots tested. That is fail %.
Pair: Moisture-fail rate on Stock. CMO twin: Vitaquest moisture-fail. Bath twin: disintegration-fail.
What you type
Moisture fails — Lots that missed the Eagle Labs LOD / moisture limit in the window.
Batches — Lots moisture-tested in that same Eagle Labs window.
Fail % = moisture rejects ÷ lots tested × 100. High fail % usually means dryer dwell or room humidity — fix that path; do not invent a fail chip.
What not to do
Never invent fail %. Never paste a Vitaquest moisture file into Eagle Labs fields. Never fold bath failures into moisture rejects. Never average every SKU when one lot owns the miss.
Related: Stock, Vitaquest moisture-fail, disintegration-fail, assay-fail.
Procedure
- Type moisture fails and batches from the LOD log.
- Read fail %.
- Re-check dryers / humidity holds when fail % is material.
Failure modes
- Inventing fail %.
- Dumping Vitaquest CSV into Eagle Labs fields.
- Treating disintegration fails as moisture.
Worked example
None on this page yet. When one lands it will be a real case: what broke, the number, and what changed. Not a composite.

- Is this disintegration-fail rate?
- Sibling Eagle Labs test. [Disintegration-fail rate](/manuals/eagle-labs-disintegration-fail-rate) is bath failures. This page is LOD / moisture rejects only.
- What fail % should I invent?
- None. Use moisture rejects and lots tested from the same Eagle Labs QC window.
