Campus cutover piles up outbound units
A campus or warehouse cutover can freeze outbound while orders keep arriving. Unshipped units = cutover days × daily units. Type cutover days and daily outbound units.
Pair: Fulfillment cutover lag on Stock. Transfer: transfer cover. Dock: receiving is not sellable.
What you type
Cutover days — written freeze / cutover days when the campus cannot ship (3PL calendar).
Daily units — outbound units you would ship per day once the campus is live again (typed from the sales / ops plan).
Multiply. That is the unshipped pile the cutover builds. Pull the freeze forward, stage overflow at another warehouse, or cut ads that assume same-day ship — do not invent a cutover chip.
What not to do
Do not invent a freeze length. Do not fold inbound receiving days into cutover without a second export. Do not count frozen units as sellable cover. Do not pace Meta or affiliate as if the dock is open.
Related: Stock, transfer cover, receiving is not sellable, zone-skip surcharge.
Procedure
- Type cutover days from the 3PL calendar.
- Type daily outbound units.
- Stage overflow or cut ads when unshipped units are material.
Failure modes
- Inventing cutover days.
- Folding inbound receiving into cutover without splitting.
- Treating frozen units as sellable cover.
