Zone-skip surcharges stack off-plan
Zone-skip and remote surcharges sit outside the base rate plan. Extra $ = shipments × surcharge. Type shipments, surcharge $, and zones.
Pair: Zone-skip surcharge on Stock. Residential: residential surcharge. Quote gap: quoted vs billed.
What you type
Shipments — parcels that hit the zone-skip / remote surcharge in the window.
Surcharge $ — typed dollars per shipment from the invoice line.
Zones — how many zones those shipments covered (context for the bill).
Extra $ = shipments × surcharge. Re-shop or raise the plan — do not invent a surcharge chip.
What not to do
Do not invent a surcharge. Do not mix residential accessorial into zone-skip without splitting. Do not ignore zones when comparing two 3PL invoices. Do not reuse last quarter’s line on a new lane.
