ShipMonk hours-per-receipt is not ShipBob stuck units
Divide putaway hours by inbound receipts in one ASN window. That ratio is hours per receipt.
Pair: Inbound putaway lag on Stock. ShipBob twin: inbound putaway lag. ASN twin: ASN variance.
What you type
Putaway hours — total hours from dock scan to bin putaway across the ASN window.
Inbound receipts — inbound receipts completed in that same ShipMonk window.
Hours per receipt = putaway hours ÷ inbound receipts. Fat hours per receipt usually means the dock is ahead of bin labor — staff putaway; never invent an hours-per-receipt chip.
What not to do
Skip inventing hours per receipt. Skip dumping ShipBob unit-hours into ShipMonk fields. Skip treating ASN shorts as putaway lag. Skip blending warehouses when one site owns the dock pile.
Related: Stock, inbound putaway lag, ASN variance, pick-to-ship lag.

FAQ
- Is this ShipBob inbound putaway lag?
- Different 3PL grain. [Inbound putaway lag](/manuals/shipbob-inbound-putaway-lag) prices stuck units × lag hours. Here you only divide ShipMonk putaway hours by inbound receipts.
- Is this ShipMonk ASN variance?
- Sibling inbound door. [ASN variance](/manuals/shipmonk-inbound-asn-variance) is units short or over vs the ASN. This page is hours per inbound receipt after the dock scan.
- What hours per receipt should I invent?
- None. Pull putaway hours and inbound receipts from the same ShipMonk ASN window.
