Vitaquest batch yield vs written target

How to run thisStock / inventory3 steps
CalculatorVitaquest yield variance · Calculator lives in the articleOpen

Open one Vitaquest co-man lot. Take released yield %. Subtract the written target %. The absolute gap in percentage points is VQ yield-variance pp.

Pair: Yield variance on Stock. NutraScience twin: NutraScience yield variance. Loss twin: yield loss.

Lot math

Released yield % — Good released units ÷ planned units × 100 on that Vitaquest lot.

Written target % — Target yield % on the same Vitaquest co-man lot / SOP.

VQ yield-variance pp = |released yield % − written target %|. When VQ yield-variance pp climbs, pull the process owner on that SKU before you rewrite cover — leave blank chips alone.

Guardrails

Do not invent VQ yield-variance pp. Do not fold packaging scrap into released yield % without splitting. Do not paste a NutraScience variance export into Vitaquest fields. Do not blend lots when one Vitaquest SKU owns the hole.

Related: Stock, NutraScience yield variance, yield loss, batch release lag.

Procedure

  1. Type actual yield % and standard yield %.
  2. Read VQ yield-variance pp.
  3. Pull the process owner when VQ yield-variance pp is material.

Failure modes

  • Inventing VQ yield-variance pp.
  • Folding packaging scrap into actual yield % without splitting.
  • Folding NutraScience variance exports into Vitaquest boxes.

Worked example

None on this page yet. When one lands it will be a real case: what broke, the number, and what changed. Not a composite.

FAQ

Is this NutraScience yield variance?
Vitaquest co-man lot vs NutraScience ticket. [Yield variance](/manuals/nutrascience-yield-variance) stays on NutraScience. Released / target totals never leave Vitaquest here.
Is this Vitaquest yield loss rate?
Gap from target vs shortfall from plan. [Yield loss rate](/manuals/vitaquest-yield-loss-rate) is (planned − good) ÷ planned. Here you score |released yield % − written target %|.
What VQ yield-variance pp should I invent?
None. Source released yield % and written target % from the same Vitaquest co-man lot.
