Split packages stack label fees
One order can leave as many packages. Each package can take its own label fee. Extra vs a single label = (packages − 1) × fee per package. Type packages and fee $ / package.
Pair: Multi-package split fee on Stock. Quote vs invoice: quoted vs billed. Remote lines: zone-skip surcharge.
What you type
Packages — cartons / packages on that split shipment (WMS / ShipWorks export).
Fee $ / package — label or per-package accessorial $ you actually pay (invoice line — typed).
Total fees = packages × fee. Extra vs single = (packages − 1) × fee. Consolidate when extra $ is material — do not invent a fee chip.
What not to do
Do not invent a per-package fee. Do not mix freight weight charges into the label field without splitting. Do not treat a one-package order as zero when fee still posts. Do not ignore CS splits that force extra cartons.
